Job Vista ("we", "us"), a sole proprietorship at 348, Unique Square, Link Road, Opp. Subham K Mart, Dabholi, Katargam, Surat, Gujarat, India, operates jobvista.in. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable Indian law. Our Terms also apply.

1. Data we collect

Candidates: name, mobile number, email, city, resume/CV and the details in it (education, experience, skills, salary), job applications, interview schedules and messages with our recruiters.
Employers and enquiries: contact person, company, phone, email, hiring requirement, and messages you send through our forms, phone, email or WhatsApp.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, the page you came from and campaign tags in the link you clicked (to understand which channels bring enquiries), and security logs such as failed logins.

2. How we use it

To match candidates with suitable jobs and share profiles with employers for recruitment.
To respond to enquiries, schedule interviews, send job alerts and service emails.
To provide technology services you have engaged us for.
To keep the website secure (spam and fraud prevention, brute-force protection) and to meet legal obligations.

3. AI processing of resumes

When you upload a resume to register or use "Easy Apply with AI", the file is sent to Google's Gemini API to read the text (including scanned images) and fill your details automatically. You can review and edit every field before submitting. Recruiters may also use AI to summarise or rank profiles for a requirement; a person always makes the final decision about shortlisting.

4. Who we share data with

Employers / clients: candidate profiles are shared with prospective employers for recruitment, with your consent given when you register, apply or send us your resume.
Service providers who process data on our behalf: Google (Gemini API for resume parsing; Google Drive for secure resume storage), our email provider and our hosting provider. Some of these may store data on servers outside India.
Authorities when required by law.

We never sell personal data.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies only: to keep you signed in, protect forms, and remember where you came from for the current visit. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. How long we keep data

We keep candidate profiles while they are useful for recruitment and delete or anonymise them on request or after long inactivity. Enquiries, invoices and records required by tax or other laws are kept for the legally required period.

7. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate another person to exercise your rights. Candidates can also deactivate their account from their dashboard. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide recruitment services to you.

8. Security

Resumes are stored privately and served only to signed-in authorised users. Passwords are hashed, staff accounts support two-factor login, and access is logged. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us immediately if you suspect misuse.

9. Children

Our services are for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Grievance officer & contact

For any privacy request or complaint, write to the Grievance Officer, Job Vista, at info@jobvista.in or call 99788 85604. We respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above shows the latest version.
